Aurigene is a peptide and small molecules drug discovery company. The peptide division focuses chemistry collaborations with MNC pharma companies based in Europe and US providing support in solving peptide / peptidomimetics chemistries. Several positions are available for immediate hiring of candidates with peptide chemistry / peptide synthesis background The candidate will have hands-on experience with peptide synthesis and characterization, excellent communication skills including data presentation and ability to work interactively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Position -
Peptide scientists – Multiple Masters and PhD level positions available. Candidates having Masters degree organic chemistry with 3+ years of experience or PhD / post-doc having specialization in synthetic peptide chemistry. A proven expertise in the design and execution of peptide syntheses within a diverse range of chemistry including solid phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis is a must, organic synthesis a definite plus. A good understanding of analytical data interpretation required. The person will be proactive and self-starter, candidates with experience managing labs or reporting juniors will be preferred.
Responsibilities include –
• Independently design and execute syntheses of peptides / peptidomimetics and peptide conjugates while working in a project team
• Characterization and purification by HPLC and mass spectroscopy
• Creative application of literature and theoretical concepts from a diverse range of peptide chemistry to the design of cost and time-effective synthetic schemes
• Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Present work orally and in form of written progress reports.
