Job Description The scientist will oversee the operation and maintenance of the X-ray diffraction facilities. Responsibilities involve maintaining two rotating-anode X-ray generators, detectors, liquid nitrogen cryosystems and related components. The scientist will also be responsible for aligning the X-ray optics and providing day-to-day maintenance. In addition, the scientist will train users wishing to use the equipment, supervise on data collection as well as data processing. Job Description

Perform purification of polysaccharides and proteins

Perform chemical conjugation of polysaccharides with proteins

Ensure completion of work assigned in timely manner

Preparation of SOPs and work instructions related to the downstream processing activities

Coordinate with Head-DSP and Maintenance department for smooth functioning and validation/ calibration of equipments etc


Desired Profile
M.Sc. (Microbiology / Biotechnology)
Knowledge of protein and carbohydrate chemistries and purification methods
Ability to have quick grasp over the subject.
Ability to work in team

The candidate's primary focus will be to work closely with customers to understand their business needs, implement relevant Informatics solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
* PhD in Cell Biology / Biochemistry/ Molecular biology /Human genetics, with 0-3 years of experience.
* Understanding of genetic analysis - promoters, orthologs and paralogs, SNPs, mutations.
* Familiarity with various tools and databases that aid genetic analysis.
* Knowledge of pathways in eukaryotic organisms (mouse, rat, human etc)
* Familiarity with sequence analysis and population genetics is an advantage.
* Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
* Ability to perform and consult with customers

* Experience in microarray data analysis, pathway/network analysis, proteomic (Mass spec) data analysis is a plus.
* Analysis of DNA sequencing data is a plus.
* Familiarity with DBMS is preferred
