UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 15/10/2009 (22/10/09 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments in the prescribed format. The post are :
Junior Bacteriologist
(Ref.No.F.1/290/2006-R.I) One POST @ at National T.B. Institute, Bangalore in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Essential : A. Educational : Master’s Degree in Bacteriology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Two years’ experience in Bacteriology preferably in Tuberculosis Bacteriology. Duties : Assisting the Bacteriologist in all the routine activities of the laboratory including the EQA, DRS, Dots plus etc. Supervise all subordinate staff of laboratory. Routine work of lab like smear culture, sensitivity tests. Work related to research activities. Work related to Training activities. Maintenance of Stores in the lab. HQ : National T.B. (Ref.No.F.1/137/2009-R-III) 2 Posts @ Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya(JNRM), Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
Of the two posts, one post(permanent) is reserved for OBC candidates.
Essential : Educational : i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F at the Master’s Degree level in Zoology from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University
Explanation : The term ‘Good Academic Record’ means at least Second Class with Fifty percent marks in Graduation level. ii) Should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC NOTE – I TO IV : Same as in Item No.12 above. Duties : Conducting classes such as lectures in Zoology, Practicals, tutorials, seminars, examinations etc. at UG/PG level or any such other works assigned by the Head of the Institution or such other competent authorities.Lecturers (Botany)
