Applications on prescribed form are invited for filling up the following posts of Assistant Professor on contract basis under Self Financing /NRI Scheme in the pay scale of Rs. 15,600- 39100+AGP 6000 (consolidated fixed Contractual amount @ Rs. 21,600/-) should reach the Deputy Registrar, Recruitment Branch, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla-171005 latest by 8th August, 2012 alongwith fee of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 100 for SC Candidates of HP) in the shape of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

However, for the candidates residing in Lahul & Spiti District, Kinnaur District, Pangi and Bharmour Sub-Divisions of Chamba District and Dodra Kwar Sub-Division of Shimla District of Himachal Pradesh, the last date for receipt of application is 14th August, 2012. The University will not be responsible for delay in receipt of application due to any reasons what so ever.

(i) Department of Microbiology:

Assistant Professor Microbiology = 2 posts (both for unreserved category).

The Prescribed application forms can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Recruitment Branch, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla-171005, either personally on payment of Rs. 100/- in cash or by sending Indian Postal Orders of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla-171005 payable at Shimla accompanied by self-addressed envelope of 23x10 cm size with postage stamps worth Rs. 10/- fixed on it.

The qualifications for the above posts are the same as prescribed by the UGC and
adopted by the University from time to time. However, University vide notification no: 3-5/78- HPU(GAD) Vol-V dated 29th May, 2012 has granted exemption as detail below in education qualification:

The eligibility of the candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications acquired by them up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications.

Candidates called for interview will have to come to the place of interview at their own expenses and bring with them their original research papers, Degrees and Certificates etc. for verification. The University reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up these post(s) or to call only limited/suitable candidates for interview. Application received on plain paper, without fee, requisite documents and received after the last date shall not be entertained.

The Salary of above mentioned posts will be met out from the funds of Self Financing Scheme/NRI Scheme of the Intuitions concerned and persons appointed against these posts will be held till the existence of Self Finance Scheme/NRI Scheme and will not be entitled for regularization/appointment in any situation in the University.
