One post of Scientist ‘B’
is to be filled up on purely temporary and contractual basis on a
consolidated salary of Rs.44,100/- P.M. in NIH funded project “Centre for the Study of Complex Malaria in India”.
Essential Qualifications:
First Class MSC in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological
subjects or Statistics from a recognized University or equivalent.
OR
Second
class Master’s Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant
biological discipline subjects or Statistics with PhD degree from a
recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable:
Three years of post-doctoral research experience in Molecular
Biology/Genetics. Candidates with high quality research publications in
Molecular Biology in high-impact peer reviewed journals preferably on
malaria parasites and knowledge of next-generation sequencing
technologies.
Age: Up to 35 years
Age limit:
Age relaxable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Central Govt.
Rules/Orders for possessing experience in Govt./Autonomous Bodies.
Candidates working in long term projects in ICMR and its
Institutes/Centres shall be given one time age relaxation up to five
years for the post advertised.
Place of Duty: The contractual staff will be posted at the project site at the above mentioned address.
General:
Duration:
1) The incumbent would be engaged initially for one year but the period
of engagement may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the
Competent Authority.
2) NOC is necessary in the case of person serving in Central/State Govt./Autonomous Bodies/PSU.
Interested and eligible candidates may walk in for interview on 13th May 2014
at National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR), Field Unit, Civil
Hospital, Nadiad-387001 along with passport size photo, bio-data with
the photocopy of the testimonials and also originals for verification,
NOC from employer if employed. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
Candidates should report between 9.30 AM and 11.00 AM.
