Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Perform analyses on Next-Gen sequencing data including data derived in ChIP-Seq, RNA-Seq, miRNA-Seq and other experimental models to a customer base including leading pharmaceutical, biotech and academic institutions worldwide.
  • Define and implement quality control procedures at both technological and biological levels to ensure quality of extreme high volume of next-generation sequencing data.
  • Develop cutting-edge algorithms, pipelines, and applications to analyze data from our external clients. He or she will work closely with our software development team to serve as domain expert with in the team.
  • Develop and apply algorithms and statistical models to analyze and interpret next-generation sequencing data. 
  • Implement robust and automated pipelines and tools to support large scale bioinformatics analysis.
  • Perform analysis and interpretation on data from genomic platforms including expression, exon, tiling, promoter and others primary, secondary and tertiary data analysis as per client's requirement.
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation on other large data types in genomic context.
  • Develop bioinformatics analysis processes in collaboration with colleagues within the lab as well as with the multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage work flows including experimental design, analyses of data quality, genome and meta-genome integration and others.
  • Write utility scripts, macros and/or custom programs or algorithms in support of biological discovery.
  • Coordinate with biologists and/or other bioinformaticians in the design of models summarizing/explaining experimental data; provide interpretive analyses of data derived from different experimental platforms to generate biological meaningful data set.

Who should take this Examination?
Candidates who wish to join any of the affiliated colleges of JNT University Hyderabad in 10 districts of Telangana region as Lecturer/assistant professor shall take this examination. The faculty members who are working as lecturers/Asst. professors but not ratified by the University at the present working institution shall also take this examination.
Advantage of taking this Examination
The Candidates who qualify in this examination will be eligible to appear for the interviews of faculty selections at all the affiliated colleges of JNT University Hyderabad and the candidates who qualify in this examination and selected at the college selection only are considered as University approved faculty. The appointment of the candidates selected without qualifying in FET-JNTUH are not approved by the University.
Exemptions:
Candidates
i) who are already selected through University selection Board and presently working in the same institution,
ii) who are presently working in the cadre of Associate professor or Professor ratified by the University at the institution where presently working.
iii) who qualified through National level Test NET or iv) Obtained PhD v). Completed M.Tech through GATE are exempted from taking this examination.
Mode of Examination:
Examination Pattern: FET- 2013 will be conducted in 18 subject disciplines as listed in Table - 1. The question paper will have 120 objective type multiple choice questions which include Part –I (40 questions in general ability, aptitude and analytical skills) and Part –II (80 questions in subject specialization). Each correct answer carries one mark and a wrong answer carry negative 1/4 mark. The test will be for 2hrs duration qualifying marks for the Test is 40% and 30% for SC/ST candidates.
OMR Answer Sheets
OMR ANSWER SHEETS will be supplied along with the Question Booklet Candidates have to mark the correct answer by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question on an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet with Black/blue ball point pen.

(iv). Generate resources through conventional and innovative programs and incorporate revenue generation systems through technology commercialization, online subscription, sponsorship for events and enrollment for training programs.
(v). Facilitate by liaising with BPD Unit partners, especially NAIP-BPD centers & ICRISAT ABI and service units, regional research stations for marketing the incubator services and commercialize technologies.
(vi). Support in trainings, promotion, exhibition and event management, marketing of business incubation activities.
(vii). Preparation of brochures, leaflets and exhibit marketing and promotional materials.
(viii). Perform any other duties requested by the management of BPD Unit.
(d). Working arrangement :
The position is located at Hyderabad (Andhra- Pradesh) on a full-time basis. The contract is till the end of the project subject to satisfactory performance.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech./B.Tech. (Biotechnology/Lifesciences) with at least two years of experience in IP management.
Desired Qualifications: Ph.D. (Biotechnology/Lifesciences) and LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from some reputed organization.
 The candidate should have at least two years of experience in the area of technology management including IP management.
 Sound knowledge and experience in undertaking IP searches such as prior-art search, freedom-to-operate search, landscape analysis etc.
