Research Scientist-C / RA / JRF Positions at the Centre on a DST funded project
Applications are invited for one Post of Research Scientist-C, one post of Research Associate II (Technical Support Staff) (RA) and four Junior Research Fellows (JRF) under research project proposal entitled "Computational Studies on Novel Materials and Nanoscale Transport”, funded wholly by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India through its Nano Mission Council, sanctioned to Professor Anjali Kshirsagar (PI). We seek applications for the following temporary positions:
Research Scientist-C 1 (Open category)
The Centre is looking for persons with outstanding academic and research records (judged by steady publications in international peer reviewed journals) with expertise in (i) First principles electronic structure calculations or (ii) Numerical quantum techniques and/or (ii) Large scale realistic simulations of classical systems. Candidate with proven experience as a developer of numerically intensive, large codes or with experience of applications of various software packages for diverse systems/properties will be preferred.
Eligibility: These positions are open to candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in Computational Physics/ Chemistry/Biology or any related field, relevant post-doctoral/industrial R&D experience of minimum 1 year and with a strong continuous academic record. Candidates should have experience of working on Linux platforms. The candidate should be within 35 years of age. He/She will be involved in research in computational materials science at nano scale. We encourage candidates intending to work on challenging computational problems to apply, as they will have access to multi-teraflop parallel computers.
