Applications
are invited from Indian citizens for preparing panels for appointment
to the under mentioned posts in the scale of pay mentioned against each
of the posts along with admissible allowances as per the University
rules. Name of the Posts, Category, Scale of pay etc are as follows:
1. Professor – 3 Posts, [Soft. Engg.- 1 Post (OBC – A), Bio-Informatics – 1 Post (SC), Management – 1 Post (ST )]; Rs.37,000-67,000/- (Pay Band) + A.G.P. Rs.10,000/- .
2. Associate Professor (initial stage) – 12 Posts, [Biotechnology.- 4 Post (2-UR, 2- SC), Bio-Informatics
– 1 Post (OBC-B), Physics – 1 (OBC-A), Industrial Engg & Man. - 1

Principle of reservation of
posts is followed as per rules of the Govt. of West Bengal /UGC.
Application Form and other details about qualifications for the above
mentioned Posts are available in the University Website : www.wbut.ac.in.
Application not complete in all respects will not be considered. The
candidates already engaged should send their application through proper
channel. The application should be sent in a closed envelop marked with “
Application for the Post of .............................” along with a
Demand Draft of RS.500/- (RS.250/- for SC & ST candidates of W.B.)
drawn in favour of West Bengal University of Technology payable at
Kolkata. The University reserves the right to determine the number of
candidates to be called for interview.
