Technical Officer A

Applications are invited up to 31 January 2013 for the post of Technical Officer A (Unreserved) at NIMR, New Delhi in Pay Band II of Rs. 9300-34800 plus grade pay of Rs. 4600 plus usual allowances as admissible under the rule.
Essential qualifications
Three years graduate degree in biological sciences with 5 years experience in editing of scientific publications in a recognised Govt. Institute or organization
(or)
Three years graduate degree in biological sciences with diploma in book publishing or journalism from a recognised University/Institute with three years experience in a recognised Govt. Institute / organization.
Desirable qualifications
(i) M.Sc. degree in Zoology or Entomology or Medical Entomology
(ii) Good command of English language, Diploma in Publication/Journalism or other professional certificate in publication, etc.
(iii) Knowledge of computers
Age: Not exceeding 35 years as on 31.01.2013. SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates and working Govt. Employees are allowed age relaxation in accordance with DOPT guidelines
He/She will be governed by the new Restructured Defined Contributory Pension System as laid down under Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 1.1.2004.

Forms duly completed should be addressed to the Director at the same address along with a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) payable to the Director, National Institute of Malaria Research (ICMR), New Delhi. SC/ST & physically handicapped candidates are exempted from this payment. Council’s employee are not exempted from application fee and required to pay a sum of Rs 100/- towards application fee. Any canvassing on behalf of the candidate or attempting to bring external influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be considered as DISQUALIFICATION.
Note: Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview/personal discussion, the applications will be short-listed for this purpose. The decision of the Director, NIMR will be final in this regard. Candidates called for personal discussion will be paid 2nd class rail fare by shortest route on production of travel documents.
