Educational Qualification & Experience:
I) For JRF: First Class M. Sc (Biotech, Bioinformatics, Scientific Computing, Computer Science), B.E. / B. Tech (Chemical Engg. Biotech, Computer Science) and GATE/CSIR-UGC NET (JRF or Lecturer-ship)/BINC qualified
II) For SRF: First Class M.Sc, BE, BTech or equivalent degree And 2 years of post qualification research experience, as evidenced from published papers in standard refereed journals OR First class M.E., M.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Technology
III) For RA: Doctorate (Ph. D) or equivalent degree OR 3 years of research, teaching design and development experience after ME/ M. Tech
Age : Below 30 for JRF and below 32 for SRF and 35 years for RA as on last date of advt.
Skill Set: Programming in C/Fortran, JAVA, Perl and Algorithms in Chemo- and Bio-informatics areas.
Job Profile : The incumbent is expected to develop novel algorithms and tools for data mining using evolutionary computing techniques.
Salary : Consolidated Salary ranging between Rs.14,000 to Rs.18,000 pm.

- Good oral and written communication
- Ability to work in team with good time & priority management skills. Mature to handle collaborative projects with external agencies
Desired:

First Class M. Sc Bioinformatics / M. Sc or M. Tech in Life Sciences /Chemistry / Physics / Biotechnology with Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics
Experience: 0 to 3
Age : Below 33 years as on last date of advertisement
Skill Set: Thorough knowledge of Bioinformatics domain with specialization in Genome Sequence Analysis, Micro Array Data Analysis, Molecular modeling, docking and simulation software, quantum chemistry methods with a good knowledge of algorithms and statistical methods. Should be proficient in programming C, FORTRAN, JAVA, Perl / PYTHON etc. on the UNIX platform.
Job Profile : To carry out research and development activities in the area of Bioinformatics using High Performance Computing. Also, to handle industrial and collaborative projects in the area of Bioinformatics and molecular modeling.
Salary : Consolidated Salary ranging between Rs.25,500 to Rs.33,300 pm.
RESERVATIONS: All above 60 positions are on fixed duration and against approved projects. SC, ST, OBC, Physically handicapped, meritorious sports persons and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation shall also be considered according to the Government of India norms.
AGE: Maximum age limit will vary according to the experience asked for the post. Applicants belonging to the reserved category / Govt. employees would be eligible for relaxations according to the Government of India's norms.
