Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), a residential –technical university located in the foothills of the Pir-Panjal in Rajouri (J&K) was established by Act No. XVI of 2002 of the State Legislature. BGSBU presently offers seven postgraduate programmes viz Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business
Administration – Financial management (MBA- FM), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MSc (Applied Mathematics), MA (Arabic), MSc (Information Technology) and MSc ( Bioresources & Biotechnology) through its six Schools of Studies and five engineering( B. Tech) programmes.
The university invites applications on prescribed form for the following positions as per UGC pay scale:

Professor - 1 Post
Qualifications and experience
i. An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in relevant subject and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research / policy papers in indexed / ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books.
ii. A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience in university/college , and/or experience in research at the University/National Level institutions, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
iii. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – medicated teaching learning process.
iv. A satisfactory score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) system developed by UGC.
In addition to the above,
The applicants for the post of Professor are required to submit four copies of three major publications out of which one should be book or research report along with other documents.
The applicants for the post of Professor in School of Biosciences & Biotechnology should
have Masters degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7-point scale in Geography, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Life Sciences, Geology, Chemistry,
Hydrology with research experience in Biotechnology, Climatology, Glaciology, Life
Sciences or Water Technology as evidenced by quality of publications in these areas.
