Applications are invited for the following posts, in the pay scale mentioned against each plus the allowances, tenable at TIFR Balloon Facility, Hyderabad. 1. LABORATORY ASSISTANT (B) : One Post (Unreserved); Pay Band (PB -1; Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 2000); TME Rs. 13,591/-; Headquarters: Hyderabad.

Qualifications & Experience:

(i) H.S.C / Intermediate with more than 60% marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

(ii) Minimum experience for one year as Laboratory Assistant in Research Environment.

(iii) Familiarity with the use of personal computers and their applications will be preferred.

Age: Below 28 years as on 05-10-2009

2. LABORATORY ATTENDANT: One Post (un-reserved); Pay Band: (PB -1; Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 1800); TME : Rs. 11,372/-, Headquarters : Hyderabad.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential: S.S.C. with more than 50% marks in aggregate and more than 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.

Desirable : Experience as Laboratory Attendant in and familiarity with personal computers and their applications in Research Environment

Age: Below 25 years as on 05-10-2009

3. COOK –C : One Post (un-reserved); Pay Band: (PB -1; Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 1800); TME : Rs. 11,372/-, Headquarters: Hyderabad

Qualifications & Experience: Essential:

(i) S.S.C. Pass

(ii) Minimum 3 years experience as Cook in a large kitchen with knowledge of preparing Indian and Continental dishes.

(iii) Good understanding of spoken and written English and familiarity with Menu item names.

Desirable: Specialized training or certificate in culinary skills, from a Govt. Institute.

Age: Below 30 years as on 05-10-2009

4. SECURITY GUARD : One Post (reserved for S.C).; Pay Band: (PB -1; Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 1800); TME: Rs 11,372/- Headquarters: Hyderabad.

Qualifications & Experience :

(i) S.S.C. with more than 50% marks in the aggregate.

(ii) Fire fighting training from National Civil Defence College, Nagpur / State Fire Training Centres.

Physical Fitness : Height - 165 cms ; Chest - 81-86 cms

Weight - 60 Kg. ; Eye-sight - Normal and colour recognition

Running Fitness : 100 meters race in 16 seconds

1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes

Experience : Minimum 2 years in industrial security in a large and reputed organization.

Desirable : NCC Junior Division Certificate

Age : Below 33 years in case of SC candidate; for Ex-Serviceman, the age limit is 40 years for SC Candidate as on 05-10-2009

Selected candidates will be required to work in round the clock shift duties.

TME : Total Monthly Emoluments.

Candidates are liable to be transferred to other Centres /Field Stations of the Institute, if required.

Selected candidates will be governed by the recently introduced New Restructured Defined Contribution Pension System for new entrants to the Central Government service

Appointment to post at Sl. No. 1 will be initially for a period of 3 years including Probation period of one year. Continuing appointment will be given depending upon a comprehensive review of performance at the end of 3 years. Appointment to posts at Sl. No. 2, 3 & 4 will be initially for a period of 1 year and Continuing appointment will be given depending upon a comprehensive review of performance at the end of 1 year.
