Scientist- II
(Non-Medical),
-1 Post (UR)
B. Tech degree in relevant subject with six
years R&D / Teaching experience in the
relevant subject after B. Tech degree. Or
First class master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with
4 years R&D / teaching experience in the
relevant subject after 1st class masters
degree. Or Second class M. Sc. + Ph. D
degree in the relevant subject from a
recognized University with 4 years R&D /
teaching experience in the relevant subject
after M. Sc. + Ph. D
NOTES:
i. Candidates with Doctorate degree in Life
Sciences / relevant subjects shall be
recruited as Research Scientist I (Medical)
after requisite training under Talent Search
Scheme as per Schedule-IV.
ii. PhD in the relevant subject shall be
treated equivalent to three years
experience.
iii. M. Tech in the relevant subjects shall
be treated equivalent to two years
experience
i. Doctorate degree or M.
Tech degree in Life
Sciences from a recognized
university for candidates
with first class relevant
degree.
ii. Additional Post doctoral
research / training
experience in relevant
subjects in recognized
institute(s).
iii. Knowledge of Computer
Applications or Business
Intelligence tools / Data
Management.
iv. Experience in Genomics,
NGS & Bioinformatics.
Track record of first author
research articles in reputed
peer-reviewed journals &
Data analysis.

of viruses of public
health importance.
Candidates with experience in serological
and molecular viral
diagnosis, Outbreak
investigation, collection
and analysis of clinical
material and data and
data analysis, Virology
laboratory management
and knowledge of
biosafety will be
preferred.
Should be prepared to
work in shifts and lead a
team of scientific and
technical staff.
Experience in NGS
experiments, Report
compilation and data
analysis.

microbiology and molecular
biology, animal handling and
related work, good
understanding of biosafety.

30 years.
