Research Student in Wet Lab (RSWL)

"ExoCan Technologies (a proposed company) is a biotechnology based Innovation startup committed to the development of cutting-edge technologies for cancer diagnosis using a novel platform. The proposed company is well funded through an Innovation grant from the BIRAC, a not-for-profit Govt. of India Enterprise under the aegis of DBT, India.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for post of 2 research students to work on a project that involves the development of a cancer diagnosis kit utilizing biofluids from cancer patients.

Description: The project will be based on analysis of cancer patient blood samples procured from hospital(s) through a robust network of collaborations. It is anticipated that the candidates will be working in the frontiers of cancer diagnosis and dealing with high-end instrumentation, technology. Aspiring candidates with a thrust in applied cancer research and willingness to work in bench-to-bedside settings are encouraged to apply. The proposed company is actively engaged in establishing new National/International collaborations for future research grants.

Duration: Initial appointment is for 18 months. However, the position is renewable based on satisfactory performance and availability of future research grants.

Essential Qualification:

Research Student in Wet Lab (RSWL): MSc/M.Tech. in Biotechnology/Life Science or related fields with 1 to 2 yrs hands on experience in Cell biology, Molecular biology techniques. Please mention code ‘RSWL’ in the subject line in mail if you are applying for this category.

Research Student in Computational Biology (RSCB): MSc/M.Tech. in Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology/Algorithm Designing or related fields with a robust knowledge of cancer databases mining (e.g. TCGA, REMBRANDT, GEO etc.). Salary: Rs. 10,000/month consolidated for each post.
