Job Description and Candidate Requirement:
A
competent candidate for research professor position is being sought at
School of Biotechnology, Yeungnam University, Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk
province, South Korea.
The position starts with two years contract and can be extended one year basis.
The
candidate must have backgrounds and experience on evolutionary genetics
such as phylogeny analysis using high density SNP chips, quantitative
& population genetics to perform genome-wide association study using
high density SNP chips in cattle or pigs. Programming skills such as
Linux, C, Perl, with experience on Livestock molecular & phenotype
data analysis are very desirable.
Also, the
candidate must have PhD degree and atleat three publications at SCI(E)
papers as the first or corresponding author for the last three years
(2012~2014).
Annual salary is 24,000,000 Korean
won (1 US dollar is 1,110 KWN), and 450,000 KWN is supported for
housing, whose amount is enough for one person to live in one bedroom
unit. Extra bonus is 4,000,000 KWN, going to the bank account of the
candidate for each SCI(E) publication, up to five papers per year.
One
requirement is: the candidate needs to teach one graduate course (3
credit) such as evolutionary genetics for graduate students.
