Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled at NCCS, Pune.

1. Scientist 'C' : Post: One, Pay Band No.3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 6600/-. (TME Rs. 56460/-)

Age limit: Below 40 years,

Qualification & Experience: Essential: 1st Class MTech / MD / MVSc /MPharm / MBiotech or PhD / Corresponding degrees in other disciplines with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with about 4 years experience in R&D.

Desirable: Extensive experience in Animal Cell and tissue culture as evidenced by Publications or Patents.

Description of Duties:

2. Scientist 'B' : One Post: OBC,

Pay Band No.3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with grade pay of Rs. 5400/-. (TME Rs. 47760/-)

Age limit: Below 35 years,

Qualification & Experience: Essential: 1st Class MTech / MD / MVSc /MPharm / MBiotech with 3 years experience in relevant field or PhD/corresponding degrees with about 1 years experience in relevant field.

Desirable: Extensive experience in Animal Cell and tissue culture as evidenced by
Publications or Patents.

Description of Duties:

* Description of Duties for Scientist C & Scientist B positions:

These two positions are for the services offered by NCCS such as the cell repository. The two Scientists will be expected to maintain, handle and distribute animal tissue cultures. The two scientists will not lead any research groups, nor/ will take research students under their direct supervision. It is understood that both the Scientists will devote 100% time in carrying out services of the Cell Repository of NCCS.

4. Technician 'B' (Laboratory) : Two Posts-

(For Post No. l-ST, For Post No. 2- UR), Pay Band No.1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- (TME Rs. 25600/-) Age limit : 30 years.

Qualification & Experience:
Essential: 12th Pass with Science with two years full time Diploma in ML T having 7 years experience in the R & D Laboratory OR B. Sc. with 3 years experience.

Desirable: For Post No.1: Experience in handling analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, MS, GC-MS. Candidates having experience in operating mass spectrometry instruments such a LC-ESI-MS/MS and MALDI-MS/MS will be preferred.

For Post No.2 : Should be able to update animal cell culture media, handle animal cells, cryopreservation of cell etc. and related cell culture techniques.

5. Technician B (Instrumentation) : One Post - ST, Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- (TME Rs. 25600/-) Age limit: 30 years.

Qualification & Experience:

Essential: Diploma in Engineering with 3 years experience or matric plus IT certificate in trade with 15 years experience in trade or AMIE / Degree in Engineering. Desirable: Candidates having maintenance 1 development experience in Biological/Pathological/Medical / Analytical Labs / Process Control Instruments / Electronic Instrument.

7. Assistant Technician (Instrumentation) : Two Posts : (2 Posts - UR), Pay Band No.1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with: Grade Pay of Rs. 19001- (TME Rs. 16540/-) Age limit : 30 years.

Qualification & Experience: Essential : IT/certificate in respective trade with I year experience or VII pass with minimum 10 years experience in the respective trade.

Desirable : Candidates having maintenance 1 development experience in Biological /Pathological / Medical / Analytical Labs or Process Control Instruments.

9. Assistant Technician (Lab) : One Post: (UR), Pay Band No.1 ofRs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/(TME Rs. 16540/-) Age limit : 30 years.

Qualification & Experience: Essential: Matriculate with science with 3 years experience in R&D laboratory or DMLT.

Desirable: Should be able to update animal cell culture media, handle animal cells, cryopreservation of cell etc. and related cell culture techniques.
