Research Associate - Testing – Kallakal, Hyderabad
Monsanto is in quest of a highly motivated and able individual to work as a member of Cotton Trait Integration team. The Research Associate partners with the Conversion Breeders to support program needs and work priorities to ensure that they are accomplished. The incumbent will maintain multi-locations site responsibility to ensure efficient work flow and work load balancing.
The Testing Officer is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the testing program as well as the general operations of multi-locations across South zone. This individual is critical to research implementation and will have the opportunity to work with field research equipment, superior genetic material, and help drive large yield testing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct of cotton field trials across Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka states adopting very good agronomy and pest management
- Timely collection of quality data across locations and its submission
- Selection of best plots and building good relationship with growers
- Adherence to all ESH procedures, ISO, regulatory and compliance protocols, and business conduct protocols
- Driving mechanization and process improvements wherever necessary
- Interaction with laboratory functions for coordinating of samples and analysis from field studies
Required Skills/Experience
· MSc Agri in Plant Breeding, Agronomy or related field of study and 2-3 years of experience specially in execution of agronomic trials
· Broad knowledge of crop production, experimental designs and field layout.
· Strong computer skills related to data acquisition, organization, and data analysis.
Desired Skills/Experience:
· Good working knowledge geography
· Research experience specific to cotton
· Experience in working with regulated biotech traits
