Biotech Consortium India Limited Jobs


Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) is a company promoted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India and All India Financial Institutions with the objective of providing necessary linkages among different stakeholders to facilitate accelerated commercialization of biotechnology. BCIL has been actively involved, among other activities, in technology transfer, project consultancy, information dissemination, manpower training and placement and Intellectual Property related to biotechnology etc., the details of which are available on our Home Page.
BCIL intends to hire manpower for technical / operational and administrative support in the following cadres-
Total number of regular vacancies – 4
1. Post : Assistant General Manager (Code : AGM)
Nature of job : Regular
Qualification
a) Essential : Ph.D. in Applied Life Sciences preferably in Biotechnology with at least 7 years relevant experience
b) Desirable : Experience in Technology transfer / Consultancy / IP Management / Biosafety / Project management, preferably in biotech industry or technical consultancy organization.
Job description : Technology evaluation and transfer / Management of
Intellectual Property Rights / Biosafety support services, conducting studies and preparation of reports on biotech status, market surveys, project feasibility etc.
Pay Scale : Rs.29950-1300-42950-EB-1400-51350 (AGM)
Other Benefits: Dearness allowance, House Rent Allowance, Medical reimbursement, Conveyance allowance, Mediclaim Insurance, Contributory Provident Fund ,Gratuity, Leave encashment, Leave Fare Concession.

2. Post : Manager ( Code : MGR)
Nature of job : Regular
Qualification
a) Essential : Ph.D. in Applied Life Sciences preferably in Biotechnology with at least 5 years relevant experience
b) Desirable : Experience in Technology transfer / Consultancy / IP Management / Biosafety / Project management, preferably in biotech industry or technical consultancy organization.

3. Post : Deputy Manager/Assistant Manager (Code : DM / AM)
Nature of job : Regular
Qualification
a) Essential : M.Sc./M.Tech./MBA in Biotechnology/Applied Life Sciences
(1st Division) with at least 3 to 4 years relevant experience for Deputy Manager post and at least 2 years experience for Assistant Manager post.
b) Desirable : Experience in Technology transfer / Consultancy / IP management / Biosafety / Project management , preferably in biotech industry or consultancy organization.
Job description : Conducting studies on Healthcare / Agriculture related technologies and preparation of reports, conducting market surveys, project feasibility etc.
Pay Scale : Rs. 22650-850-31150-EB-1100-37750 (DM)
Rs. 15500-750-23000-EB-850-31500 (AM)

In addition to the above manpower requirement exists for specific projects. The candidates not found suitable for regular posts may be considered for project based tenurial posts like – Project Scientist, Senior Project Executive, Project executive etc. These posts are on contract basis for the tenure of the projects. The contract can be extended after the completion of the projects based on the company’s requirement / suitability of the candidates for other relevant assignments.

Qualification
a) Essential : M.Sc./MBA in Applied Life Sciences/M.Tech. Biotechnology
b) Desirable : Degree/Diploma in Business Management; experience in biotechnology based industry or consultancy organization.
Job description : Working in projects on the core areas of the company viz. technology transfer., consultancy, project management, biosafety, IPR, tissue culture etc,
Remuneration : Consolidated emoluments in the range of Rs25,000/- p.m. depending upon relevant qualification and experience.
Other Benefits: House Rent Allowance, Medical allowance Conveyance allowance, Mediclaim Insurance, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity.
Age limit : 30 years
