Walk in interview

A walk-in interview will be held on 19-6-2012 to select candidates for the below mentioned positions for MicroExCon, NGS Facilities, Pilot Project on Biobanking of Cancer Tissue samples, The Virtual Institute of Bioinformatics, Gujarat Biodivesity GeneBank and Technology Facilitation Cell projects. Desirous candidates may report for interview on 19-6- 2012 at 10.30 a.m. at Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, DST, Block-11, 9th Floor, UdyogBhavan, Gandhinagar - 382011, along with six copies of Bio-data and original certificates/testimonials.

1. RA 1

Candidate should have Doctorate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology and allied areas or 3 years research experience after M.Sc. in Biotech and allied areas

2. RA 2

Candidate should have Doctorate degree in Biotechnology and allied areas or 3 years research experience after M.Sc. in Biotech

3. JRF 2

M. Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred

4. JRF 4

M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred

Next Generation Sequencing [NGS] Facility – Gujarat Genomics Initiative

5. JRF 1

M. Sc. in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology and allied Areas.

Minimum 1 year experience in Research, Bioinformatics database development, software development shall be preferred

M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred

M. Sc. in Biotechnology and Allied Areas with 1-2 yrs experience shall be preferred

Industrial Biotech Training Programme [IBTP]

The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis for an initial period of 11 months, which may be extended after satisfactory performance of the incumbent till termination of the project. There is no provision of reengagement after termination of the project. The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment, as the fellowship is co-terminus of respective project. No TAIDA will be paid for attending the interview.
