Pasteur Institute of India, Coonoor is one of the leading Institutions in the production of Antirabies Vaccine and DPT group of Vaccines for the Universal Immunization Programme (UIP) of Government of India functioning as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. Applications are invited for the following posts in the Institute.

1. Assistant Research Officer :

(i) No. of post – 1 
(ii) Pay: `9300-34800 Grape Pay `4600
(iii) Age limit: 30 years (relaxable in deserving cases if the selection committee
desires so)
(iv) Educational Qualifications:
• M.Sc., (Microbiology) of Medical Faculty of recognized university or institution with at least 2 years experience of work in a medical microbiology department/laboratory after the post-degree qualification (or)
• M.Sc. degree in science subjects of a recognized university with at least 3 years experience in a microbiology department after post-graduate qualification (or)
• B.V.Sc. degree of recognized university with at least 3 years experience in a microbiology department (or)
• B.Sc., (Microbiology) of a recognized university with at least experience in a microbiology department (or)
• B.Sc. degree in science subjects of recognized university with at least 5 years experience in a microbiology department.

3. Research Assistant

(i) No.of Post– 2 (UR-1, ST -1)
(ii) Pay: `5200-20200 GP. `2800
(iii) Age Limit: 30 years
(iv) Educational Qualifications:
• M.Sc. (Microbiology) of medical faculty of a recognized university or
institution (or)
• M.Sc., (Chemistry) of medical faculty of recognized university (or) institute
(or)
• M.Sc. (Pharmacology) of medical faculty of recognized university or institute
(or)
• M.Sc. in science subjects of a recognized university (or) B.Sc. in science subjects of a recognized university with at least 3 years experience of work in microbiology laboratory/department (or)
• Science graduate of a recognized university with at least 3 years experience of work in microbiological laboratory/department or allied laboratories/departments.
