WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the following dates at 9.30 A.M. sharp for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Nutritive Value of Indian Foods – Integrated Indian Foods Composition Tables” at National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad. The essential qualification, experience, consolidated salary and service tenure are as under:

Essential Qualifications 1st Class M.Sc/ 2nd Class M.Sc with Ph.D in Biochemistry /Life Science/ Analytical Chemistry with three years relevant laboratory experience.

Desirable Conversant with the handling of either of the instruments Fast HPLC/ HPLC/ICPMS/LCMS/AAS/Dumas Nitrogen Analyzer /Amino Acid Analyzer. or experience with in vivo / in vitro models for evaluating absorption and bio-availabilities of nutrients and beneficial food components. Minimum one to three years Laboratory experience in analysis of nutrients and bioactive substance in foods.

Age : Below 40 years. Relaxation as per rules in case of SC/ST/OBC and PH Candidates.

Consolidated Pay : Rs.39,562/- p.m. (fixed) /- without any other allowances.

Essential Qualifications : B.Sc with Chemistry and Biology as one of the subject

Desirable : M. Sc. In Chemistry / Biochemistry / Zoology / Botany / Microbiology / Food Science / Food Science & Nutrition with experience in analysis of nutrients in foods. Experience in handling of Fast HPLC / HPLC / ICPMS / LCMS / AAS / Kjeldahi nitrogen analyzer, microwave ashing system, microwave digestion system, muffle furnace, sat boiling distillation system will be an added advantage. Minimum one to three years working experience.

Age: Below 30 Years. Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates as per G.O.I Rules

Consolidated Pay : Rs.26,183/- p.m. (fixed) without any other allowances.

Tenure : The project tenure is for two years. Dependent upon the funds position the appointment orders will be issued.

The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience/ SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate along with a photo and set of Photo copies duly attested for attending the Walk-in-Interview. The persons belonging to Other Backward Category should bring the O.B.C. (Non creamy layer) Certificate issued by the respective concerned Thehsildar/ M.R.O. specifically issued for the purpose of applying for Central Government post not later than three years. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interviews/Written Test. The Selected Candidates will be posted at the National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad; however they are required to undertake touring all over the country from time to time.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The conditions of employment will be the same as are for the project staff on contract basis. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
