A walk in interview will be held at 10.00 a.m. on August 6, 2010 (Friday) in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Napaam, Tezpur for the Bioinformatics Infrastructure Facility (BIF), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India for the following positions under the Coordinator Prof. B. K. Konwar, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University.

Research Associate - 01

Duration Upto 31.03.2012 or until further order whichever is earlier.

Fixed remuneration Rs. 16,000/per month

Qualification MSc/MTech in Bioinformatics with 12 years experience in handling softwares related to Computational Biology (Bioinformatics).

Protein and DNA structure prediction, Algorithms for sequence comparison, Phylogenetics and Statistical softwares.

OR

Doeacc B level in Bioinformatics with 12 years experience in handling softwares related to Computational Biology (Bioinformatics): protein and DNA structure prediction, Algorithms for sequence comparison, Phylogenetics and Statistical softwares.

Age 27 years as on the last date of submission application

Traineeship - 01

Duration 12 months

Fixed remuneration Rs. 5000/per month

Qualification Final year student of M. Sc./ M. Tech student or Doeacc B level in Bioinformatics

Age Below 25 years

Studentship - 1

Duration 12 months

Fixed remuneration Rs. 5000/per month

Qualification Final year students of M. Tech./ M. Sc. in Bioinformatics/ Doeacc B level in Bioinformatics for doing project.

Age Below 25 years.
