Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Research Assistant in a KFD funded research project on "Development of mt DNA database of selected mammals in the Kerala Forests for wildlife forensics” in the Regional Facility for DNA Fingerprinting (RFDF), RGCB. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS M.Sc in Zoology/Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks. Persons who can independently pursue field works in the Kerala forests are only need to apply. AGE: Below 35 years EMOLUMENTS Junior Research Fellow: Rs.5,000/- consolidated per month Duration:Three years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier). Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview Suitably qualified candidates may send applications on plain paper with a photograph, a copy of full resume and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned on or before November 20th, 2009. The envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, the advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project. In the event of more than 10 candidates being short listed, a written test will be done before the selection interview.
