Qualification for Academic Posts

01. Advisor (Research) – One (SFS)

Ph. D in any discipline of science, preferably in the thrust areas of research of Jamia Hamdard with at least 15 years of post doctoral experience in postgraduate teaching, and/or experience in research at the university and/or National/International repute institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

The candidate should have international exposure especially at postdoctoral position, handled R&D projects independently and published at least 10 high impact (cited) research papers in peer reviewed SCI journals.

Age: Below 55 years.

Assistant Professor (Food Technology) -Two

M.Tech (Food Technology/Food Engineering/Post Harvest Technology/Food Science), M. Sc. (Food Technology)

Desirable : Ph.D. with industrial experience as well as teaching and research experience in the relevant field.

Assistant Professor- Bioinformatics- One

i) Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the master’s degree.

ii) M. Tech/Ph. D. in Bioinformatics, OR Ph. D. in Life Sciences/Pharmacy with Postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics from a recognized University.

Desirable: Working experience in Academics/Industry, and Aptitude for Research, particularly in Drug Designing/Computational Biochemistry/Nutrigenomics.

Associate Professor- Toxicology- One

i) Good academic record with a Ph. D. degree in Toxicology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences/Molecular Biology.

ii) Atleast 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the master’s degree in Life Science/ Bioscience/Biotechnology/Toxicology.

iii) A minimum of five years of experience of teaching and/ or of research in a regular position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a university/college or Accredited Research Institution with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books.

iv) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology- medicated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.

v) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) developed by UGC.

Desirable: The candidate should have expertise to teach all the branches of Toxicology Can teach Molecular Toxicology (Toxicogenomics etc.) and Systemic Toxicology to M.Sc. Toxicology Students.

Assistant Professor- Toxicology- One

i). Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the master’s degree in Life Science/Bioscience/Biotechnology/Toxicology.

ii) M.Sc., Ph.D Toxicology/Biosciences, NET qualified having good academic career should be evident from the published work to teach Regulatory Toxicology, and should be well acquainted with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and current special issues in the field of Toxicology to teach M. Sc. Toxicology students.

Assistant Professor- Biotechnology- Two

i) Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the master’s degree in Life Science/ Bioscience /Biotechnology/Toxicology.

ii). M.Sc. in any area of Biological Sciences with Ph.D. Biotechnology with specialization in Environment Biotechnology/Immunology/Cellular Biology/ Proteomics/ Melabolomic.

Assistant Professor (Pharmacology)

i). First class M. Pharm. in Pharmacy Practice. OR First class M. Pharm in Pharmacology with two years experience in clinical pharmacy. OR Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Medicine with first class M. Pharm. in Pharmacology.

Assistant Professor (Pharmacy Practice)

i). First class M.Pharm. in Pharmacy Practice OR First Class M.Pharm. in Pharmacology with two years experience in Clinical Pharmacy OR Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Medicine with First class M.Pharm. in Pharmacology
