Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist I
(non-medical) under the supervision of Dr. Anshika Srivastava PI,
Associate Professor Department of Medical Genetics, SGPGIMS. The title
of the proposal is "Genome-wide Association Study on Early Onset Coronary Artery Disease to Uncover Disease Biology and Drug Repurposing" funded by ICMR, Govt. of India.
Job Responsibilities:
Srivastava lab is aimed at understanding the genetic basis and
molecular mechanisms of developmental disorders. To understand the
molecular mechanisms, we use the capabilities of cutting-edge
technologies as genome engineering, ATAC sequencing and epigenetic
profiling tools. We use cardiomyocytes as model system. The requirement
for this project is generation of cardiomyocytes from patient
fibroblasts and performing the molecular biology and biochemical assays
on the generated models.
Design, validate, document, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data using appropriate statistical methods
Salary: Rs. 56000 + 20% HRA= Rs 67200 per month (Fixed)
Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. with at least three years of research experience or Ph.D. in the
research area of stem cell biology, biochemistry, cell biology,
molecular biology.
Desirable Qualifications:
Expertise in molecular biology and cell biology. Prior experience in
stem cell culture and differentiation of lineages from hPSCs is
desirable.
