CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad (CSIR-IICT) is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-IICT is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, Agro-chemicals & Semio-chemicals), Inorganic & Physical Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Functional Materials, Chemical Biology, Chemical /Environmental/ Design Engineering. 

 CSIR-IICT invites ONLINE APPLICATIONS from enthusiastic, young Indian researchers having excellent academic record and proven achievements with requisite experience and a high degree of motivation and desire to take up Research/S&T Management as a career to fill up the vacancy of following posts of scientists as per the details given below: 

Scientist S-16 - 2 posts (1-UR) (1-SC) 

Ph. D. thesis submitted in Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Sciences/ Biotechnology With Bioprocess/ Bioproducts development and Biorefinery as the core area of research (or) ME/M.Tech. in Biotechnology with Bioprocess/ Bioproducts development and Biorefinery as the core area of research 

Experience in sustainable bioprocesses employing fermentation/ photosynthetic/ bio-electrocatalytic/biorefinery processes for chemicals and materials. Proficiency in metabolic engineering, scale-up and/or bioinformatics tools with systems biology approach. 

Postdoctoral and/or industry work experience. The selected candidate will have to work in the field of sustainable bioprocess integrated with circular economy in relevant institutional R&D programs. 

Scientist S-19 1 post (OBC) 

Ph. D. Thesis submitted in Sciences/Life Sciences/ Biology with Synthetic Biology as core area of research (or) ME/M.Tech. in Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering/ Biomedical Engineering with Synthetic Biology as core area of research 

Experience in the domain of synthetic biology tools to reprogram cells/ microorganisms/plants capable of producing enzymes/chemicals for various applications and gene editing tools, gene assembly techniques. 

Postdoctoral and/or industry work experience. The selected candidate will have to work in engineered organisms; strain engineering using the concept of synthetic biology work flows for high throughput solutions related to R&D activities. 

Scientist S-20 1 post (SC) 

Ph.D. thesis submitted in Sciences/Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical sciences with Pharmacology as the core area of research Experience in in-vitro and in-vivo pharmacology, experimental pharmacology techniques related to various animal models and pharmacokinetic studies. 

Postdoctoral and/or industry work experience. The selected candidate will have to work in the area of pharmacology. 

Expected to work closely with multiple discovery project teams and provide pharmacology support in the design and execution of preclinical efficacy and IND enabling studies.
