IISER Bhopal invites applications from individuals with excellent academic record throughout,
in addition to proven track record of research ability and commitment to superior teaching and
research for vacant positions at the level of Assistant Professor in the thrust areas of the relevant
Department as per Annexure-A.
Qualification and Experience:
For the post of Assistant Professor Grade I:
Eligibility criteria
• Ph.D. with a first class or equivalent at the preceding degree.
Specialization in the appropriate area / branch with excellent
academic record throughout, in addition to proven track record of
outstanding research ability.
• Candidates with atleast three years of post-PhD industrial /
research / teaching experience may be considered for this post.
Salary Structure
• Pay Level 12 with initial pay of ₹1,01,500/-
Placement
• Candidates possessing the degree of Ph.D. in the relevant
discipline and with regular service of 3 years at Pay Level 12
shall be considered for placement to Pay Level 13A1 with an
initial pay of ₹ 1,31,400/-, subject to evaluation of performance.
Other perquisites/allowances:
1. In addition to Pay (as mentioned above), other allowances like DA, HRA, TA,
Telephone reimbursement shall be as per the Institute / GoI norms from time to
time.
2. Suitable residential accommodation, located on the campus, shall be provided as per
Institute rules to the faculty members on joining the Institute, subject to availability. In
case of non-availability of accommodation, HRA, as per rules, shall be paid.
3. The employees of the Institute will be covered by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) of
Govt. of India. The Employer’s contribution towards NPS shall be paid by Institute as

4. Moving expenses of ₹1,25,000/- (for candidates from abroad) & ₹75,000/- (for
candidates within the country) are reimbursed against the submission of bills.
5. Every faculty member of IISER Bhopal will be entitled to a fund of ₹1,00,000/-
every financial year on reimbursement basis, under Cumulative Professional
Development Account (CPDA). CPDA may be revised from time to time as per
GoI/BoG approved norms.
6. CPDA will be available to meet expenses for participating in both National and
International conferences, paying membership fees for professional bodies and
buying books.
7. Reimbursement of telephone call charges of residential telephone/ mobile phone/
broadband/mobile data/ data card shall be as per entitlement given below:

Selection Process:
The applications received for a particular Department are shortlisted by the Departmental
Faculty Affairs Committee (DFAC) based on the overall suitability that includes several
components such as the application, seminar, and inputs from faculty members of the
Department. Institute Faculty Affairs Committee (IFAC) reviews the report submitted by the
DFAC and takes a decision on further shortlisting of candidates for an interview.
General information about the posts advertised:
1. Regular faculty positions are open to Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India
(OCI).
2. The Institute reserves the right to (i) relax eligibility criteria in exceptional cases;
(ii) consider anyone who has not formally applied in response to this advertisement, and
(iii) fill the position at lower/higher level than that advertised.
3. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained after attending regular courses

Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER
TVM) invites applications for selection at the Assistant Professor
(Grade 1) level on ‘tenure-track’ from Indian nationals belonging to

General Information
The
appointment as a Faculty Member will be governed by NIT (Amendment) Act
- 2012 (National Institute Technology Science Education Research
(NITSER) Act) and its amendments from time to time and as per the
provisions of the IISER Statutes. As per the Tenure-Track System, the
appointment at the level of Assistant Professor at IISER TVM is on
contract for five years. At the end of this period, the faculty
candidate will be assessed for the position of Associate Professor by a
selection committee. The successful candidate will be offered tenure,
i.e., a permanent position. If the assessment by the selection committee
does not result in the appointment as an Associate Professor, the
contract term will be extended for two more years in the same grade. In
rare instances, when the selection committee finds the candidate
unworthy, the contract will cease. Valid OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD certificates
should be uploaded. Candidates working in Government
Organizations/Institutions/Universities/ Public sector undertakings
should submit a no-objection certificate. No enquiries of any kind in
regard to the selections will be entertained. The institute reserves the
right to screen and call only those candidates deemed suitable for
presentations followed by interviews. The eligibility criteria are only a
bare minimum, and mere fulfilment of the same will not entitle any
candidate to be called for the interview. The institute reserves the
right not to fill any vacancy advertised without any reason. The
