OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS 

1. The appointment is purely on contract basis for a period of one year or till the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier, with effect from the date of joining. Thereafter, the contract will lapse automatically. The appointment can also be terminated at any time, on either side, by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s salary, without assigning any reason or failure to complete three months to the satisfaction of the competent authority. 
2. The appointee shall perform the duties assigned to him/her. The competent authority reserves the right to assign any duty as and when required. No extra/ additional allowance will be admissible in case of such assignment. 
3. The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt. servants appointed on regular basis. 
4. Non-practising allowance will not be admissible. 
5. The appointee will not be granted any claim or right for regular appointment to any post under Central Health Service. 
6. The appointee shall be on the whole time appointment of the Institution and shall not accept any other appointment, paid or otherwise and shall not engage himself/herself in a private practice of any kind during the period of contract. 
7. The appointment carries with it the liability to serve in any part of the country. 8. The appointment to the said post will be subject to physical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority by the concerned Institution/ Hospital before joining the post. 
8. The appointee is required to submit a declaration regarding his/her marital status in the prescribed proforma. 
10. On appointment, the appointee will be required to take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India or make a solemn affirmation to that affect in the prescribed proforma. 
11. The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed in terms of instructions contained in DoPT OM No. 12016/3/84-Estt. (L), dated the 12.04.1985, as amended by Om No. 12016/1/96-Estt. (L) dated the 5.07.1990. 12. The appointee is not entitled to any TA for joining the appointment. 
13. Other conditions of service will be governed by relevant rules and orders issued from time to time. 
14. QUALIFICATIONS For the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry-1 Under DBT-BUILDER program Eligibility (A or B): 

A. 

(i) Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading system is followed) in Biochemistry from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET: Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By-laws/Regulations of the institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:- 

(a) Ph. D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode; 
(b) The PhD thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners; 
(c) An open Ph. D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted; 
(d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph. D. work, out of which at least one must be in a refereed Journal; 
(e) The Candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph. D. work in Conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency. The fullfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned. 

Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

We are seeking applications for a Chief Scientific Officer with the following primary responsibilities for Scientific/Strategic programs:

Roles and Responsibilities: 

 Develop and handle institutional international collaborations in line with the TIGS Vision 
 Provide strategic program coordination, especially for new Genomics and Data-based initiatives 
 Conceptualize and help launch new programs

 Drive broad scope projects that have medium to long-term focus involving multi-institutional efforts, including externally funded program with multiple partner institutions

Essential Qualifications/Requirements 

 Ph.D. with 12+ years of academia/industry with relevant experience

 Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with teams and stakeholders from across and beyond the organization 
 Strong leadership, conflict management, planning and interpersonal communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams

 Position: Senior Scientist (Molecular Diagnostics)

Applications are open for the position of Senior Scientistfor Indigenization of Diagnostics Program at C-CAMP. This is a supervisory and a hands-on laboratory position. This is a contractual position and is tenured for one year, likely to be renewed further.

The CCAMP-InDx Program for Indigenisation of Diagnostics is a GOI initiative towards Atmanirbhar Bharat - Diagnostics. The program is funded by the Rockefeller Foundation and anchored at C-CAMP, Bangalore.The program has successfully enabled the indigenous manufacturers to produce over a million indigenous diagnostic kits per day to support COVID-19 testing in the country. This has been executed by building a robust supply-chain of Indian MSMEs capable of producing high quality molecular diagnostic kits and reagents, technology developers and service providers facilitated by a dynamic world class digital platform. The program hand-holds MSMEs in meeting both quality and capacity goals by providing support from the CCAMP-InDx Centres of Excellence operating out of leading research institutes in the country. Currently we have close to 200 members from Diagnostics industry as well as Academia, including kit and component manufacturers, service providers and technology developers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, plan and execute projects on molecular diagnostic of infectious diseases
  2. Supervise, train and manage a team of scientists associated with the CoE
  3. Manage and ensure smooth functioning of the CoE laboratory
  4. Collaborate and coordinate with project management and outreach team, other InDxCoEs and InDx cohort members
  5. Draft/Review/Approve Results, Reports, Tech Transfer documents, workflows and SOPs
  6. Establish and ensure compliance to cGLP
  7. Lead and coordinate activities around laboratory accreditations

Education / Experience:

  3. Must be well versed with analytical method development and validations

Must be meticulous and keep extensive, regulatory quality records of all tasks and lab work
