Technical Assistant and Research Technician

Applications are invited on a plain paper (along with copies of educational qualifications and experience) from eligible candidates for selection for the following positions in the projects sanctioned to Prof. Sharmistha Banerjee, Department of Biochemistry, University of Hyderabad. 

Project: "Centre of Excellence in Biomolecular structure and function on Host-Pathogen interaction (BT/PR15450/COE/34/46/2016) 

Positions:  Technical Assistant @ Rs, 17,040/- (Consolidated) per month - 1 position 

Qualification and experience: M.Sc (Biochemistry) with basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture etc. Experience of working at least 3 years in a research lab is required. NET or any national level eligibility tests qualified preferred. 

Project: Design and Development of novel antitubercular agents targeting Shikimate kinase protein (BT/PR23619/MED/29/1199/2017) 

2.  Research Technician @ Rs, 25,000/- (Consolidated) per month - 1 position 

Qualification and experience: M.Sc with basic knowledge in molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture etc. Experience of working at least 4 years in a research lab with experience of working in a BSL-3 lab is essential. 

Qualification of any national level eligibility tests like UGCNET, ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF etc is essential.

 Duration: All appointments are made for one year and can be extendible after review each year until the duration of the project
