WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
Eligible candidates are invited to attend a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the following dates sharp at 09:30 a.m. for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Biomedical Informatics Centre of ICMR” at this Institute. The essential qualification, experience, consolidated Pay and service tenure are as under:

Essential Qualification :
(i) First Class B. Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Computer Science/IT)from a recognized University with 2 years experience in Bio-Informatics. (OR)
First Class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences from a recognized University. (OR)
2nd class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in relevant subject from recognized university.
First Class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/Life Sciences from a recognized University. (OR)
2nd class M.Sc + Ph.D degree in relevant subject from recognized university.
(ii) Four years R & D experience in the biomedical informatics after obtaining the essential qualification(i).
Desirable :
1. Doctorate or M.Tech degree in IT, Bi-Informatics, Computer Science from a recognized University.
2. Experience in Bioinformatics as demonstrated by publications in peer reviewed journals.
3. Experience in in-silica comparative Genomics knowledge of protein structure modeling and docking.
4. Computer skills and exposure to (DBMS, C++, Java, Perl/python, PHP, MYSQL, Linux, windows).

Job Requirement: The incumbent will be required to initiate research activities in the areas of Bioinformatics at the Centre, Should coordinate with scientists in the Institute in using Bioinformatics tools in the research activities. Sound knowledge in biomedical database design and development.
Age: 40 years relax-able for SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
Consolidated Pay : Rs.41,396/- p.m.+30% HRA (fixed) without any other allowances as per the ICMR circular No.16/107/2008-(5) Admn II dated 10-12-2012.

Consolidated Pay: Rs.33,306/- p.m.+30% HRA (fixed) without any other allowances as per the ICMR circular No.16/107/2008-(5) Admn. II dated 10-12-2012.

Essential Qualification
Three years Graduate Degree in Computers from a recognized University with 2 years experience in Biomedical informatics Data Bases. (OR)
Three year Graduate Degree in computers with Post Graduate Degree from a recongnized University in Computer Science.
Three year Graduate Degree in computers with Post Graduate Degree from a recongnized University in Computer Science.
Desirable : Preference will be given to the Candidates who are working in Data Base Management in Bioinformatics.
Age Limit: 30 years, relax-able for SC/ST/OBC & PH candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.22,120/- p.m. (Fixed) without any allowances.
The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience and caste along with a photo and set of photocopies duly attested while attending the Walk-in-Interview. The candidates belong to OBC categories should submit the OBC certificates issued by the respective Tahsildar/MRO of the areas specifying clearly that the certificate is issued for the purpose of applying the Central Government employment.
GENERAL CONDITIONS : The conditions of employment will be the same as are for the project staff on contract basis. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute. The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.
