Microbiologist
Key Responsibilities
Conduct microbiological testing including sterility testing, microbial limits testing, bioburden, and environmental monitoring.
Perform
isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms using
biochemical, molecular, and microscopic techniques.
Prepare, sterilize, and validate culture media, reagents, and laboratory equipment.
Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, FDA, and WHO guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation, test reports, SOPs, and laboratory records.
Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results and implement corrective actions.
Support method development, validation, and verification activities.
Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
Train and mentor junior staff and laboratory technicians.
Follow biosafety, waste management, and laboratory safety procedures.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of microbiological techniques and aseptic practices.
Experience with environmental monitoring programs.
Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and laboratory documentation.
Familiar with laboratory instruments such as autoclaves, incubators, laminar airflow cabinets, and PCR systems.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s
or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a
related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
